This makes sense however we should not forget proximity to the ocean, the mountains, lakes, rivers, or other natural resources that make success more "successful"

Fractalization of the surface is equivalent to adding more dimensions. In some high-d space the house is as simple as a cube but after projecting to 3d it becomes a cluster of triangles.
