I believe cultural wealth is more important than material wealth, i.e. it's better to have a house full of books than to have marble in your bathroom. Holds true for nations as well

Well, culture is an investment that pays off in marble, so assuming there are two goods in an economy, books and marble there's a sweet spot between consumption and investment.
The purpose of culture is not to get rich. It's the reverse: the only satisfying use of money is to enjoy culture (in all its forms)

I agree that it is enjoyable. I think culture is not purely an investment or consumption good. It does have the properties of marble for sure
