I think to get good at something, you just need one thing: take it seriously enough that you can engage at 100%, but not seriously enough that you're afraid to dive in. Be earnest about the game, but remember that it's still a game. It's always a game

There are so many things in life that are like this: - live every day like it's both your last day and the first day of the rest of your life - be 100% prepared for both success and failure - hold on loosely, but don't let go

I totally agree with this. When you start identifying the failures at "something" as a personal failure, that's where the problems begin. In the end, "it's a game" with learning as the only possible outcome.

This is a great point. Non-productive errors (e.g. analysis paralysis, premature optimization, etc.) are can be much more costly than just making a mistake during the process itself.

Much needed advice. I think this is very imp. to understand because given this dynamic world where anything can happen anytime, considering everything a game won’t affect when you lose control over things as you’ll get another one to start with.

This is so true. But as with all great advices, its true meaning is understood only if you have already reached to the same conclusion from your own experience.

Yes knowing is not the same as understanding, and even understanding doesn't necessarily lead to right action
