Do you think there is also a danger when people who create technology “know what is good for” their users? In the sense of restricting usability or limiting reach of particular information because devs personally consider it harmful? Just curious how you see this issue

People everywhere and all the time are considered as ressources, since the early civilizations. With technology, the things are easier because unseen.

A lot of technologies are actually helpful and useful to its users. However because users don't want to pay, the provider needs a way to finance it. That's why there has to be rules to enforce a balance between privacy and free-for-all.
