I agree, Youtube can absolutely do more to fight disinformation and avoid contributing to radicalization. I am not involved with Youtube, but it is my understanding that they take the problem very seriously, and they have made great progress since 2016.

You are involved with YouTube at the same degree @ylecun is involved with the social network. What I see is: you acknowledge the progress and intention of your company while diminishing the same in others. Truth is: both could do better and the problem is utterly oversimplified.
Not to mention the hypocrisy that every single newspaper claims for accountability when many of them state opinions and unverified "leaks" from non-released sources as universal truth without any fact that can be checked and objectively proved. We could do way better than that.
