I always thought there was cool philosophical aspect to the transitions between transient and steady state, same later in graduate emag for near and far field dynamics. Big change puts everything up in the air, can be scary but you can focus on the impt shit landing in place.

Had to evacuate from CreekFire this summer. My 1st fire evac, don't really understand til you've been through it. When I picked things to take with me, I chose things I actually liked, not stuff I felt duty-bound to like. Clarified what was important. Good thought experiment too.
