Curious what airline people think about Boom. A business-class only plane with ~50 seats that can only fly transatlantic routes, at ~2x speed. IF they're right that they can get to the same fuel/passenger mile as current planes - do those numbers work?https://boomsupersonic.com/

Boeing floated the 'sonic cruiser' a while ago - airlines were not interested.

That said, I could imagine it being viable on certain routes as a luxury offering. Time is priceless. But it will require product innovation, it won't replace any existing offering
