Doing things well out of intuition, without truly understanding why the path you are choosing is the correct one, requires a tremendous amount of practice and immersion. But even a beginner can do things well if they are given a crystal clear mental model of the how and the why.
Developing that explicit, clear mental model, is an order of magnitude more difficult than developing a master's intuition. But once you have it, you can transmit it. Unlike intuition, it is reusable and communicable. Others can even improve upon it.
