We're likely going back to the Earth climate from 50M yrs ago, and the transition will happen in less than 200 yrs. Because none of the current landscapes & species fit that climate, there will be a lot of rapid change. E.g. the entire West coast being on fire every summer.pic.twitter.com/9X01Vgk9Y1

The fires do seem to be related to a large stock of fuel. I guess it is hard to create regulations that keeps fuel mass down by having small, frequent burns - but hard to accept!

You expect fuel buildup for massive fires to happen quickly over 10 months? That seems a bit of a stretch no?

With the coastal cities in danger due to the rising sea levels, people will move towards the now sparsely populated inner US. Places like Greenland, N. Canada, N/E Russia will increasingly become habitable and see a massive influx of immigrants fleeing the very hot/drowned places

There will be less vegetation to burn next year. 7.8 Billion is just too many people, if they all want to live in a consumer economy.

Let us not forget that the astute scholars of the 1970’s, TIME Magazine, a host of other learned individuals & college professors that all said the world was entering into another ice age come the 21st century. Food for thought for those who like to prognosticate & ruminate...

Being a little dramatic. Another 3 or 4 years like this one and there won’t be any forest left in CA to burn. Just lots of CO2 released into the atmosphere.
