We all know Trump is a sick, despicable man, but what about the hundreds of Republican Congressmen who will be silent or even defend the his comments tomorrow? How many have enough courage, decency or patriotism to offer even the most feeble defense of our troops?
They were the same people before Trump took over. The party hasn't substantially changed -- no wizard suddenly replaced its members with evil clones in 2016. What does that tell you?

I think it's simpler than that. GOP politicians are terrified of angering their base, so they won't really go hard after Trump The base is more radical than the actual politicians. Hence why alot of GOP politicians are called "RINOs" Secretly Mitch McConnell hates Trump
