Got two bikes stolen, again. I honestly can't count the number of times I've had bikes or bike parts stolen in the US. No big deal, but sad

https://lockitt.com/pragmasis-protector-19mm-chain.html … Heavy but no one without inhuman strength can cut it with a bolt-cutter. Even most angle grinders will take time to cut through this chain which deters most thieves.

Might also want to consider the cable that goes across both wheels and then into the U lock. Something like https://www.amazon.com/BV-Security-Double-Braided-Padlock/dp/B071ZR3RQ6/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=chain+u+lock&qid=1599096184&sr=8-3 … Bike theft insurance was surprisingly cheap and easy in India. Not sure how its here

it can also go through the saddle with models rhat have a hole (after removing it from the tube) and even the helmet... That was my setup in Marseille, it worked. 1 sturdy U lock and 1 long cable.

Were the bikes in a secluded area? Day or night time?

Add a $30 frame-lock from Abus for rear wheel, OEM equipment on all bikes in Scandinavia, almost impossible to break/cut. Use the saddle Kryptonite cable to secure the saddle permanently to frame. + $30 MC disc-lock w/ alarm on front wheel disc or spoke

Thiefs now use $100 construction nail guns with 22lr cartridges to blast open U-Locks. Takes 5 sec to crack one. Best to stick with one chain at least + frame-lock on rear-wheel + disc-lock.https://electricbikereview.com/forums/threads/fastest-way-to-open-a-bike-lock.26648/ …

Sorry to disappoint you, but picking a bike lock is an easy task. Check the LockpickingLawyer channel on YouTube.
