Yes but most people pursue knowledge and not understanding. Knowledge is faster & cost effective. Understanding is slower but more profound mastery, it’s like a superpower. The strategic selection of subject areas to acquire full understanding or not is a self development puzzle

Great comment. I wonder whether understanding can be packaged as a knowledge? For example,
@3blue1brown has a great sense of understanding of math and we pursue that while watching it. We also learn new procedures of understanding. Over time, we can improve the way we understand
