My fear is those who can *pay* for a sort of online life inside a curated garden will, increasingly, do so. Much like AOL in the early Internet, or walled suburbs all over the US, those on the inside will get "real" content, while Grandma/Grandma will eat the junkfood of Fox, etc

it’s already easily mechanized without GPT-3, to say nothing about rampant legitimate usage via non-credentialed accounts. ultimately we need a decentralized credentials attestation (“Web of Trust”), but unlikely given the monopoly of social identity providers
