The quality of a work of art has little to do with its medium or its subject, and everything to do with the sensibilities of its creator

Reminds me of Plato’s philosophy on art.

This seems like an extremely arguable point. Why not just grant what's likely true, which is it's a dynamic result of all of the above?

Tolstoy said, “There are two sure signs of what constitutes true science and true art. The first is internal: (the person) does not exploit his work for personal gain, but purely selflessly. The second is external: that the outcome...should be universally comprehensible.”

Greetings @fchollet I'm a frontend dev who was hoping to hit the job market next month but due to the advancements of GTP-3,I'm fearful of continuing with the path, since you're one of the DL/ML experts I look up to, Do you think GPT-3 is capable of generating scalable code

The skills it takes to paint a photorealistic painting and the skills it takes to use a 3D modeler are different but can achieve the same results Software like GPT is just a tool that changes, and expands, the skills usable to be a software developer

sensibility grows while the person practices, quality and the journey behind it unlikely can be thought as separate things, i guess, as the art becomes the way to feel and think. best art conveys the journey of creator through "medium" and "subject". imho
