It got politicized 2 years ago before COVID19. This anti-mask bill was to appease the same people now refusing to wear face coverings. But is there proof/data that wearing a mask is beneficial? Where is the actual data? Here in the UK infection rates have continued to decline after lockdown was lifted and without the compulsory requirement for people to wear masks.

Is there data that shows shop workers who haven't worn masks are more likely to contract the illness than any other person? Surely the most 'dangerous' places are cafes, bars and restaurants where people eat, converse and laugh - face masks there would destroy the industry.
