Some reactionaries have indeed been harmful in the past. But most revolutions have been abject disasters. And many who have contributed progress have done so quietly and without causing mass destruction and suffering. The world is better without ideologies of any kind.
Naive whitewashing. Fascism and racism are direct products of the Enlightment ideals. Of course there was centralization and slavery in the ancien regime but it was optimized and achieved the SotA results in the West.
