That is a very bad example. You condemn white and Asian parents for doing all they can for their children as "complacency"? Instead, you believe... what? That white and Asian parents should advocate for racial minority children and neglect their own?!

If by "getting complacent with the status quo" you mean paying attention to statistics and facts, instead of getting to the streets to break everything because you feel offended on false premises, then I'm fine with the status quo, thank you very much.

"Progress" and "reactionary" make it sound like everything about the potential future is better than everything about the past. Somtimes statu quo can mean "let's think a bit about the best course of action bfr we start burning everything to the ground".
