To the people getting angry in the replies -- just realize that this is not about you, for once. Directing more attention to underrepresented folks takes nothing away from you. It helps change the image of the field. And it encourages other underrepresented people to join.

1/2 Don't worry, you'd be soon a target of the righteous as well. Someone will "figure out" that you had displayed your "white privilege," of a good "master" who ushers the poor black folks, unable to do it by themselves, into your glorious white world, thus far closed for them.
