    It's not the case that wearing a face mask will protect you against facial recognition in the medium term -- although it will fool currently-deployed systems, and it does make the problem more challenging for future systems. Masks are not at all the end of public identification.

        exactly and it is actually nothing new. 10 years ago in a certain city, i used to change how i walk (i did the business walk) to prevent getting attention from the police when i was high or had a small amount of weed in the pocket. 😄

        It normalizes wearing a mask for the foreseeable future, worldwide. Enough people wearing masks will be a serious obstacle to universal deployment of face recognition.
