Can we rephrase it saying it means enabling you express ideas closer to what most people are used to ? So it's not forcing you to learn a new way but rather take a step in a direction so that most people will quickly understand ?

As long as you call it a "language" , you will need to follow the semantics to express yourself. Like Hello in English language means "hello" but a handshake without any language could also mean expressing hello.
