There is no compromise to be made between "economic cost" & "human cost". You have to choose between a world where the virus is widespread enough that people are forced to self-isolate and 1000s end up dead, & a world where the virus is under control & people can go back outside

Utterly nieve. And ignorant and selfish.1000s died every day before the virus. Yet we didnt kill the economy over it. So obviously it isn't a binary choice. Hundreds of 1000s die from cars and heart disease Going to shutdown over that?

Many people don't follow the rules of confinement in Barcelona. Now the people is relaxed and is like permanent holidays. I never saw so many people in the street like these days. Now is not useful and it is destroying A LOT of jobs.

Maybe it would be better to allow only take away at bars and restaurants, close gyms, and places like hairdresses and discos and ban concentrations of people like concerts and keep the rest of the activity working as usual.

I don't understand why almost none of the stimulus went into expediting development of therapeutics. For every month this pandemic is shorter, I'm guessing tens/hundreds of billions is saved.
