Some people copy what we do to the letter, but because they quite don't understand why we made it in this way and what users like about it, the results are... less than optimal.

Not some. Most people copy. We copy from ealry age to learn, and to “adapt” And same goes for technology. People copy and copy and copy. Then they are called founders, entrepreneurs...etc
