It’s hard to visually infer the peak when looking at the cumulative cases. Looking at the new cases per day it looks like USA is near or at the peak. But without continuing physically distancing the peak will be elusive.

Ok, let me rephrase: we are growing at 30k per day, which is highest rate so far. This is what this graph shows. This is not what people mean when they say we are past the peak.
