I think there is rather little chance that human-level AI will be designed. It will be the output of a search process, structured around a few key design ideas.https://twitter.com/fchollet/status/849076562632769539 …

Brain architecture is the result of an optimization process. So what really matters for reproducibility is the optimization problem itself.

Similar to what evolution did on Earth with a little bit of luck!

The optimization process that produced the brain has very little inductive bias, but used an enormous amount of total processing power.

Idea for an equivalent algorithm for AI: Iterate over all possible programs, running them all in parallel (dovetailed). If there exists a program that creates an agent capable of and motivated to "break out of the box", it will be created eventually.

you could likely find it with enough searching, if you're also willing to ignore all of the equally functional architectures will be produced, those that could have evolved but did not due to luck during evolution on earth.

It's amazing to hear you say this! Now it is certain that your company will be the one. Of course the vision was the other absolute requirement, and Google has spades. Reverse image search, tiered by necessity.🤔👊

I think it would be a search process seen from today, but a matter of design to people making it happen in the future. We will be designing a structure of a search process, just like we do now in ML, but on even higher level of abstraction.

That's not how human mind/brain/body works. Focus on abstraction processing as a base concept will get you further than speculation of making a rock conscious. Watch the Documentary https://www.vudu.com/content/movies/details/The-Secret/128979 … of a connection computers can never achieve, not even quantum machines.
