Cheburashka is super positive! It's just quieter / less over the top than American cartoons. In general they are pleasant... Also, on the the topic, older Soviet cartoons are quite nice story book adaptations https://youtu.be/Rgp5h-59rIg
Oh, I actually watched this one as a kid. I liked it (mostly for the cool visuals).
