  In democracy, public opinion drives all. If there is no wide spread, backlash against econ consequences could far exceed the credit for containment. E.g. storm evacuations based on weather predictions & storm is much less severe. Future's unknown + hard to deal w/

  This is exactly what happened with #YesBankScam in India.Without the help of gov&rbi,I dont think they maintained that much NPA.Rbi should have monitored the issue and taken measures. Now,sbi inducing a captial of 10k crs which leads to Nationalising loses and Privatising profits

  We didn't know it would be a big deal. It could have just gotten away, like ebola. Why take drastic measures and hurt the economy, when you are not certain, right? We can't just stop the economy for every trendy virus out there ^^^a politician's thought process
