In general, you don't want your president to be a populist firebrand who considers anyone not part of his base to be an enemy, and who blames his failures on the "fake news corporate media" or the "Deep State / the Establishment" (it should remind you of someone).
You want someone willing to represent everyone in the country, who will work to achieve effective policy compromises. If you champion a progressive agenda, that candidate was Warren. Now, for many, the second best choice is Biden.
Now, having said this, I expect many kinds folks will be in my mentions, taking a guess at my IQ, questioning my good faith, and asking, "so you don't want poor people to have healthcare?"
I actually do want poor people to have healthcare. For free, paid for by my taxes. I also don't think Sanders should be president. This may surprise you, but it's a fairly common combination of views.

Arguing that our for-profit media system is biased by market forces is not the same as rejecting honest journalism as "fake news". Arguing that the political establishment is influenced by corporate funding is not the same as pushing a Deep State conspiracy.
