What's the best code for readability. I feel python is horrible compared to c# or sql or even javascript.
-
The best code for readability is the declarative one. Imperative is fast, but difficult to read most of times.

I love refactoring codes that have been ingeniously designed (judged by outcome) but perhaps is not well written. It is like playing strategic games.

Does it mean that we, coders, should spend more time learning how to express our thoughts more clearly - not only in code, but (perhaps even primarily) in writing and speech? Maybe this isn't new, but to me this thought is novel

Sometimes I find some nasty unreadable code with a few magic comment lines that elucidates and uber simplify the reading.

well-factored math is something that doesn't exist, but should.

One of my university teacher wrote two books on """group theory""" that I would definitively call well factored math. If you speak French: H2G2 by Caldero & Germoni. So some research do takes time to factor their maths. :)
