Curious: what do you think you, personally (not others!), should do about climate change? How do you feel about your own answer - does it seem satisfactory to you, or unsatisfactory?

Bike to work (been doing it for years), drive electric, install solar panels (or otherwise make sure my electricity consumption is carbon-free), reduce my meat consumption (already v low), invest in cleantech startups, raise awareness of climate issues

Not satisfactory, because the best that one can do personally is have a low-carbon lifestyle, which doesn't weigh much (it's merely not adding too much to the problem instead of fixing it). Need political solutions on a global scale

Is a political solution even possible on a global scale? It's very hard to ask developing economies to lower their carbon footprint. A technological solution seems like the only way out of this problem.

It's not like the most developed countries have stopped being the main problem, so there's a long way to go even with that in mind. On the other hand, if we get serious we can absolutely demand everyone lower carbon emissions.

Is it "fixable" though. One can't go backwards on this issue.

If developed countries invested a ton into sustainable tech, and made it cheaper than polluting stuff, then developing countries would industrialize sustainably. As a side benefit, they could upgrade their own infra far cheaper
