The French will use the slightest excuse to go on strike & mass protest. Meanwhile Americans can't muster any form of protest, even as their democracy is being dismantled brick by brick, or to demand basic rights such as access to healthcare. Surely there must be a middle ground.

There are 530,000 medical bankruptcies per year in the US (it's 0 in most first-world countries). If I'm not mistaken, the last time there were any protests connected to healthcare was in 2017, and it involved *hundreds* of people, in a nation of 327 million
