This news came out years before people 'suddenly' got concerned about Facebook privacy. But the facial recognitation app for VK, the Russian FB, is http://FindFace.ru & was public for a while. I tried it & it really worked. I used it to find Russians resembling celebrities.

But facebok alreay does this? Maybe not in real time during a specific app, but it identifies people immediately after you take a picture. I guess my thesis is that facial identification isn't that alarming. And most certainly not that new.
