The degree to which users of a certain deep learning framework can be gratuitous assholes (sending me hate mail on multiple occasions) never ceases to amaze me. I don't recall ever having a bad interaction with users of other TF/Keras alternatives such as MXNet, Caffe, or CNTK.
I will hazard a wild guess and say that this is what happens when 1) your early growth hacking is centered on Reddit, 2) your marketing and image is based on appealing to your users' sense of superiority
Reddit is a great, and perhaps the only, place to find niche online communities... that also will inevitably shower you with highly topic-relevant hostility and f-bombs given some interaction. Even Youtube comments aren't nearly as bad for the average user.
