"No one from mainland China supports the HK protests" is not a sound argument. If you faced repercussions for expressing support, if you only had access to CCP-controlled media, if you were fed a constant diet of govt propaganda, you wouldn't be showing support for HK either...

If western media can be 25% positive on China, maybe people tend to believe it more. The reality is western media is almost never positive about anything from China.

Definately not "no one" but indeed very few. I know hundreds of people in mainland China and still contact with dozens of them. Chinese people are trained to know no news agency is trustworthy, domestic or foreign.

The HK protests are a pro-democracy movement, *not* an independentist movement. This is what is really scaring the CCP.

chinese are fearful to express support HK. That is the key. The sad part is the liberal us media doesn't express support HK either, are they real liberal , blind or fearful?
