I think if you do have freedom of speech, you should use it, and sometimes you should use it on behalf of those who don't have the same privilege. Kowtowing to autocrats when your safety is not at stake is pretty cowardly

Guess you must be using an illegal VPN or you're outside China then, since the CCP "respects freedom of speech" so much it blocks every social media app it doesn't directly control. The CCP is on the wrong side of history, and everyone in the world can see it clearly.

Very few people including myself like the censorship in China. However very few mainland Chinese support HK protesters either. No paradox here. Foreign media tend to simplify the whole issue.
