Preferably a *task* rather than a *technique* (what you are trying to do vs. how you are trying to do it). Too many people jump to tools that may be far from optimal when simpler, better solutions exist

Complex systems phenomena — typically Bayesian directed *cyclic* graphs ... I know a couple of approaches (eg loopy belief prop, simulation) but haven’t come across tutorials or nice worked examples with real data / nontrivial graph...
