Wasn't implying hiragana came from 女書. The time periods are completely different. Just that hiragana also originated as a female-specific script
If I’m not wrong, hiragana originates from the 草書 (cursive script) of Chinese calligraphy. Hiragana was initially popular among Japanese women; so it’s also known as 女手 (onnade) in Japanese, which is different from 女書 (nüshu or nvshu) of China...
In Japan most kids learn this in middle school, so it's fairly common knowledge. Also relatively common knowledge among foreigners who learned Japanese I suppose
