The thing is, having a fixed keyboard layout that doesn't change on you and that you can use without looking is a feature. Tactile feedback is a feature. And these are important features! You can't take important features away without providing any clear value in return
I beg to differ. The touch bar is programmable in a way you can't do with physical buttons. I'm slightly annoyed by the decision to include escape in the touch bar, though.
yes, customization options are pretty extensive. you just will need to dedicate some time to train it... just like youtube recommendation engine... but i understand people not wanting to do that as well.. but making this feature optional wouldnt make financial sense for apple...
