Snowflakes are a good example of the fact that thermodynamic entropy isn't the same as "order" as perceived by humans. i think it's a abuse of language to say the "snowflake has higher entropy". the mass that makes up the snowflake can be in many configurations, and the snowflake configuration is among the lowest, not the highest in entropy.
