The irony is denouncing a pernicious behavior by reinforcing it in practice. We obey more to core motivational mechanisms than to straightforward logic. Eg. understanding that DNNs are, in the long run, detrimental to knowledge and intelligence isn't enough to reject its benefits

I never thought of this, but if im understanding correctly we probably have phases where adapt to new social environments?.. And that the reward functions guide the agents which will have a carry on effect into the next phase like momentum?

OK, agreed. Now how about implementing it? Assuming that cognitively and viral optimized apps and content are a drug, how would you define strategies against digital cog-drugs (just coined on the spot)?
