  Having “character limits” in writing often contributes to misrepresentation of ideas & necessarily a disregard for calming niceties; having “character limits” while speaking, on the other hand, might actually provide more space for listening in exchanges.

  complicated, nuanced idea are hard to get accross and it takes effort. So only the most motivated (usually by frustration) tweet them. On social media there is a bias toward simplistic and easy to write points of view. Here energy budget on ideas and thoughts is low and diluted.
