?The supervision in LMs may look natural, but there are plenty of self-supervision schemes that are anything but natural. The targets may be any function of the inputs.
Can we just call them denoising autoencoder. We noise with triangular blanks after all
don't call natural if they are not. i think LM (and Masked LM) and image completion are different than denoising auto encoders and other less-natural methods.
