After many years of not having a proper website, I finally made one. Includes content going as far back as 2010... http://fchollet.com/ My primary motivation was moving my blog posts out of Medium (not completed yet) due to its increasingly poor UX for readers

good call! I think it's super important people avoid places like Medium, as Medium has a long-term mis-alignment with people who want to maximize for content accessibility.

Especially because of their paywall thing and some people putting
#aiethics articles behind that paywall and when asked saying they didn't see it which always baffles me because the option to put it behind a paywall is so prominent

I used their markdown-to-medium plugin for Rails and it failed after a few months' use. Now I just blog for myself.
