On one hand, the supermajority of founders are representatives of existing power structures and embrace the system and the goodies it provides them On the other hand, SF/SV rhetoric is all about disruption, being rebels, changing the world It's a jarring contrast.

This is too broad. Yes, there is too much group-think. But the tech scene also contains genuinely diverse and empathetic leaders and companies. It is not one thing.
