AI that plays games is my least favorite kind of AI. I'd much rather have AI that makes games for me to play

What's the point in creating AI that play games. In the end we'll make AI that enjoys products made by AI. What's the point in all that?

If we build the right neural structure we can maybe part train it in a virtual environment. But a real environment would be best. Imagine how messed up a kid could be if we raised them with VR goggles in some crappy simulation.

Actually. It's quite possible to partially train an AGI by manually imparting data directly into its structure. Training not even needed?

Yeah AI might beat us but we still invented Chess and Go.

The extent to which an AI will be like an opponent playing a human game, is the extent to which a Dungeon Master is the 'opponent' of the players (not at all).

yes! for real world problems and simulations also. After all, ideally games in their best form would be simulations(physical accuracy too) of real world phenomena, and for a bonus it always helps to cater the imagination with some fantasy!
