London land registry price paid data.

It has very, very interesting errors in it (permuted columns on some address sections) but is mostly pretty good. It is actually for the UK but limiting to greater London limits it to a decent size for even an old laptop.

The credit card fraud detection dataset from Kaggle? Very interesting because heavily imbalanced. Great example for logistic regression.

I learned a lot with this one: https://www.kaggle.com/c/house-prices-advanced-regression-techniques …

http://Data.gov is pretty good imbalanced dataset with missing values, I think would be a good thing for regression.

I really like predicting RUL on NASA Turbofan. Nothing missing but the data are messy enough to be real.

concrete compressive strength - no missing data, just behaves nice. not as overused as many of the standard example datasets eveybody seems to use http://archive.ics.uci.edu/ml/datasets/concrete+compressive+strength …

Without a doubt MIMIC-III https://mimic.physionet.org/ ... you literally have hundreds of options to pick from. Also, good work on it have the potential to reduce suffering and save lives. Amazing documentation and community too.

Note that while it is openly available, it is not open in the same way as say Kaggle datasets are. It is EMR data after all. But well worth the few hours it takes to go through the hoops to get access. I learned a lot about responsible handling of data in the process as well.
