"Relentless innovation" is a great long-term strategy. "Ruthless innovation" is a short-term strategy that is bound to backfire when scaled up or when practiced for an extended period of time.

To be fair -- sometimes you really need a short-term play to boot up. But you'll have to switch gears as soon as it starts working.
