Some of the climate change denial is obviously linked to protecting certain economic special interests. But some is apparently cultural, along the lines of "caring for the environment is for cucks and soyboys, real men drive big trucks and dump their trash in national parks".

I think some deny it because were only ever told us modest humans living in small homes are the ones causing it. What if its a natural earthly cycle of warming. There have been many in the past. Many periods of cooling too.

And some skepticism (not denial) is driven by the massive amount of government control that is being demanded. The narrative has been (so far): 1. Create Panic. 2. Demand control/compliance. 3. Condemn skeptics. 4. Discredit alternatives. Urgency manufactured to prevent scrutiny.
