The way I see creativity, is that it is the absence of blockers of creativity. For example, being process oriented or focused on achieving a certain goal. Creative is to some extent "letting go" and seeing what happens instead of being fixated on goal or "figuring out" something.

It's kind of like in Taoism the concept "wu wei". It's the underlying potential that is uncovered by letting go of things that obstruct it, for example the thought "this is not possible" or the thought "this is possible" (!?). It the process that takes place when we don't resist.
