I’d love to see this revived. I didn’t know enough to contribute, but just following along with the conversations and watching these projects form was invaluable

I always wanted to participate, but it is 1:00AM here and I have to finish the reviews of two papers so that tomorrow I can do at least 50% of the things that I would like to do. Funding would have allowed me in the past to quit my job. Today, I do not know what I would do.

Actually this is seems to be great. The projects mentioned on http://AI-ON.org are very important. PSYCHIATRIC DISORDERS MANIFOLD is really good and would love to contribute in such projects. The idea should be revived.

I participated in Conscious Prior project at AI-ON. Currently it stalled, but it was very fun at the beginning and I learned a lot. It would be great to have some kind of repository of open problems, accessible to newcomers, and a community that can help them.

Actually, I found that it’s a bit difficult to begin a research if you are not a postgraduate student in good university, mostly due to lack of guidance. It’s difficult even if you have background in math, etc.

What about merging this cooperative into Kaggle? You should not have leaderboards based on a metric, but banner on pubs, repro, forks, commits, etc. Could offer awards to contributors from sponsorship.
