It is sad how little progress we have made in the past 8.5 years. No, in fact, we are much worse off today. Albeit I did try to change things, several timespic.twitter.com/pjkiNDfqFC

From 8.5 years ago, but it could have been written today. My hope is that in 10 years it will feel at least a little bit outdatedpic.twitter.com/HtNMKgbjwt

A great example that people are always willing to sort through massive amounts of garbage for a few valuable items, as opposed to designing/building them. Vestigial hunter gatherer traits continue to be capitalized upon.

What if you created an app, that popped out people's phones. One by one by one. Even for a day. They would just get up and go plant trees.

Hope this becomes outdated: "Now we have the 700,000 best and brightest, and these are the best and brightest from the four corners of the earth. (...) They have the GDP of India to work at. ... I know what their mission is. (...) to sell another fucking Nissan." -@profgalloway

That might not be a good thing, if there are greater dangers & criticism seems outdated & naive. Consider Huawei: https://www.timescolonist.com/a-timeline-of-the-cases-of-meng-wanzhou-and-the-canadians-detained-in-china-1.23564973 … Better, China: https://twitter.com/EricTopol/status/1084210733745721344 … The cost of freedom may be people wasting their time (being uncompetitive), a hard lesson to learn
